An installation by Gopika Dahanukar is an immersive experience designed to engage the viewer by activating physical, temporal and subtle materials such as paper, light and sound that carry one’s mind to an inner place of quietude. The floating mirror introduces a secondary means of seeing. It reflects as a witness that moment of becoming.

“In our digitally powered world, our minds are easily distracted as we constantly examine the past or anticipate the future. The practice of being in the now by calming the mind can help cultivate mindfulness and clarity, insight and understanding. As an artist I am interested in creating meditative art installations that address this desire.”
