Death decries all Ideals as a vain dream, an illusion that can never be realised upon earth.
As for the intellect it is indispensable to man up to a certain point; after that it becomes an inferior instrument and often misleading and obstructive.
Death decries every ideal as merely a shadow and in imagination with no footing on ground realities.
One must learn more until one comes to the point where one sees that one knows nothing.
Death presents not only a negative and bleak picture but a nihilistic view of the world.
I did not admit that Rama was a blind Avatar, but offered you two alternatives of which the latter represents my real view founded on the impression made on me by the Ramayana...
All this was seen and felt by Sri Aurobindo and described in Savitri in a poetic form, long before this New Consciousness had touched the world.
